Off to the Dentist

Today has been a busy one. I took most of the day off from work for Dentists and Doctor's appointments. First thing this morning (8:00 a.m.) Kaylee had an appointment with her dentist, Dr. Flowers. This is only Kaylee's 3rd trip to the dentist, so it is still a little nerve-racking telling her she has to go. She is absolutely fine with it though, because so far she has had pretty white teeth each check-up! We came into the office, I signed her in, and we were waiting patiently in the waiting room for her name to be called. A few minutes later the Dental Hygienist came to the door and said "Kaylee Thurman". We stood up and started walking to the back. The Dental Hygienist looked at me and said "Where are you going? She's a big girl and she's going back by herself. Aren't you, Kaylee?" Kaylee said "uh, huh". So I turn around and go right back to that waiting room and wait. I have to admit, I got a little teary-eyed as I though to myself- This is the 1st time my child has ever seen any type of doctor without me right be her side. Needless to say, about 10 minutes later (that's all it takes with little ones) Dr. Flowers came and got me. Kaylee did great!! All clean teeth!! She was super excited about her new toothbrush, Princess toothpaste, and not 1, but 2 stickers!!
After taking Kaylee to school, I had a 9:00 dentist appointment with my dentist. I had put it off as long as I could. It didn't take long (no X-Ray's- I'll get to that later, just a cleaning), so I was in and out in about an hour. Then I leave for yet another Doctor's appointment in Montgomery. This one was scheduled sort-of last minute. Randy and I thought that I may be pregnant (reason for no X-Rays at the dentist). I took a home pregnancy test last week and it was negative, but just to make sure I made an appointment with my doctor. She gave me a pregnancy test and it was negative as well. Yay!! It would have been bad timing!.....With all of that off of my mind, I went shopping : ) I bought the girls bathing suits for the summer. I bought Riley Rose a pair of shoes, and myself a few things as well. I had to make the most of being alone shopping, so I took my time.
Now I am back at work with 1 hour to go..........
