Ok, we are new at this but maybe it won't take us long to get into this blogging thing. Kaylee and Riley Rose keep Randy and I super busy now days. Kaylee is 4 1/2 years old and Riley Rose is 15 months old. They are IN LOVE with each other!! It is amazing how well sisters can get along! I have to admit, Riley Rose does get on Kaylee's nerves from time to time but for the most part they are great together!

Kaylee is in the Pre-K Program at Pike Lib this year. She loves it! She is so smart! She is learning so much. Things that I had no idea a 4 year old was capable of learning. She knows how to say and write all of her ABC's, she can say and write her numbers 1-20, she can write her first and last name, she knows all of her colors and is learning to write them too!! Riley Rose is still staying with Ms. Lynn. She loves her (and we do too)! It is very comforting to know that your children are being taken care of as if they were their caregiver's children. Riley started walking 2 months ago (she was 13 months) and she is into everything! It's so funny to watch her wobble around the house. She can say several words now: mama, dada, hot, Lynn, baby, baba. She also is pointing to objects if you ask her where something is, such as her feet, her nose, her belly, sissy, the dog, etc. She and Kaylee keep us laughing all the time!
I am still working with the Federal Grant (Steps to a Healthier AL). We are in our last year. The last "working day" for us will be September 21, 2009. Yes, we all have to find new jobs, but I feel certain that won't be a problem (some confidence I must have in this economy, huh?) Randy is still at Sikorsky. He likes his job....most days.
