Yesterday we traveled to Montgomery for my good friend, Brandi's daughter's 1st Birthday party. When they lived in Troy, she (Samantha) and Riley Rose went to daycare together and Brandi and I became good friends. It was good to see them and for the babies to be able to play again :)
When it was time for Sam to eat her cake, Riley Rose was so interested that she stood right there in front of Sam's highchair. Eventually, Sam's 'Nana' picked RR up so she could have a taste too. So cute!
Randy's hand is doing so much better. We still have 1 more surgery, however, it will be very minor (just taking the pins out). He is allowed to return to work Monday (tomorrow). He is still going to Physical Therapy twice per week for at least 6 more weeks. The external pins should be removed mid-May. We haven't scheduled that surgery yet. He was very blessed, not to have lost that entire finger. The pic I have posted is only of the top. The bottom side of that finger is way too gross for pictures right now, however, it is looking great compared to what it was!

ReplyDeleteoh my goodness! poor randy - that finger looks TERRIBLE! so glad we can keep in touch with each other via these blogs. it helps knowing there are other moms out there going through the SAME THINGS! i still can't get over the sippy cup story you told me last week....!
