Happy 2nd Birthday Riley Rose

2 years ago today, my sweet baby girl, Riley Rose Norris was born. Randy and I were married in July 2006 and just 3 months after we got married, we began trying to get pregnant. In April 2007 we found out that we would be having a baby and his/her due date was November 22, 2007. The pregnancy was an exausting one! From the beginning I was always tired, ALWAYS! Kaylee was 2 years old at the time, and since I was a stay at home mom, I would sleep when she slept and I encouraged her to sleep late in the mornings and watch as much TV as she wanted. There were some days when I layed in the bed all day. There were times that I was so exausted that I would drive to the grocery store and just leave because I was too tired to even get out of the car. When the time came that you go to the doctor once a week, I looked forward to that time so much. I scheduled all of my appointments on Monday mornings at 8:00 am. It was 2 days before Thanksgiving, and I was 2 days from my due date. Sweet, Dr. Coleman was by OB Doctor and I had just seen him the day before in his office and Riley Rose was not ready.He told me to come back the next day (11-20-07) and maybe she would be ready. So, at 8:00 am that Tuesday morning, I went to my appointment. Usually Randy went to each Doctor's appointment with me, but I was in such a negative mood that day that I told him to go on to work. In my mind, I KNEW that Dr. Coleman would tell me that I still wasn't ready. After all, I KNEW I would be in the hospital on Thanksgiving Day delivering a baby and miss all the good food and family time. I was wrong.....Dr. Coleman told me that I needed to go home and pick up my bags and get to the hospital. YAY!! I was so excited!

That night, at 6:58p.m. I (along with my sweet husband, the sweetest nurses, and the best Doctor) delivered Miss Riley Rose Norris. 7lb and 9 oz of so much joy! Here we are 2 years later and all that seems like yesterday. She is the most precious baby- or should I say little girl, now :( She is so smart and amazes us everyday with her intelligence. We love you so much Riley Rose and we hope that you have had the best birthday!!!
